Trauma
Daimonion
[Pagan]
Being on a label with Behemoth and Imperator, I expected a decent album, and this is. Mix Morbid Angel, Unleashed, and Cemetary. Ripping production, not bottom-heavy like Entombed's debut, closer to a midrange thrashy Pantera-type sound, but still total death metal.
This Polish band surprised me a bit. The playing is excellent, and the songs are well-written. Too bad this 1998 CD isn't ground-breaking. Growled vocals like how Max (Sepultura) used to do.
The second half of this CD is an old demo with a different vocalist and bassist. Deeper growling (ie.Cookie Monster) and the music attempts early Death/Sinister-heaviness. Brutal death metal production and song structures, with some fast double bass thrown in. Decent, not essential. If you have a slim collection and see this at an affordable price, it's a worthy addition.
