This mCD from Finnish VORDVEN is a more powerful release than their first album
”Towards the Frozen Stream” was.
In style, this is still melodic pagan metal with massive synths and some female & clean vocals, but this time instead of the emotional longing it goes more into an imperial majesty and battling warriors feel. The mCD is only 20 minutes long but it feels longer, there are six tracks of a fine quality for those who appreciate this kind of material – it’s rooted in the more commercial areas of metal but carries off some integrity and honesty. Not recommended to very critical listeners.
