I bow below this monumental release as it is by far the best melodic blackmetal album from this universe. Although I usually don't like stuff that's well produced, this is so well arranged and crafted that I don't give a fuck. This is how keyboard and blackmetal is supposed to be combined! All you Norwegians should take note from this album because this is so much better than most of the crap that passes as blackmetal these days. From the beginning track that starts with the singer screaming "ancient we invoke" to the last track every song is a classic. My favorite is the 4th track called "Dornen" which contains the best female vocals in this genre. The song is rather slow for a blackmetal song but the melody is so addictive that it makes up for it. The rest of the songs are just as good so all you blackmetal maniacs should already have this great album. 10/10
