These Norse black metallers have gone and broken all the second/third wave Norse black metal rules. No keyboards, no electronic experimentation, no major labels .just good old black metal with thrashy and melodic riffing thrown in for great measure. Excellent song composition creates both catchy and dark songs with a good amount of dynamic without sounding Nuclear Blast friendly (although why a major label hasn't picked these guys up is a good question). Acoustic guitar pieces, clean choral moments, non-excessive and tasteful soloing and effective tempo shifts make for an enthralling listen.
