Impaled Nazarene, greatest Finnish Black Metal band of all time (for me at least), are back with "Nihil" which before listening to looks pretty much like old good IN. But it isn't at all.

For me this sounds way different than anything from IN so far, and I mean it in the negative way. Melodies aren't that aggressive anymore but maybe a little bit more "complex" than before which doesn't exactly fit IN's musical style. I think that the hardcore punk influence is almost buried and forgotten which actually made IN what it was (for me again..). I now find the songs kinda boring. There's too much slow-paced stuff. It's too.. eh.. too something. It just doesn't have the same ultimate blasphemous feeling as before. Too cute production!? ..and the fact that Alexi "Wildchild" Laiho (Children of Bodom) now plays with IN doesn't help at all.. as Children of Bodom sucks ass so fucking much. Well.. don't know what to say. There's two rockin' songs on this album (fourth and sixth) but that just isn't enough.. no way.

I recommend listening before buying, I was very disappointed..
