Count Raven
Messiah of Confusion
[Noise]
I guess this is at least the fourth album by Germany's answer to St. Vitus
and Trouble. Before this 1996 classic doom metal release, I had their two
demos about seven years ago. Cool riffy stuff, especially "Nobody's Hero".
Now, after all this time, I'm surprised how amazing Count Raven are, maybe I
didn't appreciate them enough back then (like we do with a lot of bands).
Eric Wagner/Ozzy, clean/nasally vocals and a contemplative mood permeate
even the "upbeat" songs. The songs "Prediction", "Fallen Angels", and "The
Lie of Life" alone made this a worthwhile purchase.
