I liked this CD right off the bat. I enjoy the bands inspired by the old and with Blood Storm, I hear an homage to Hellhammer (mind you nowhere near as good as the original). The guitar reeks of Hellhammer/Bathory (The Return era) and that makes this a worthwhile endeavor. Simple 3 chord straight forward style with plenty of thunder. The harsher aspects of black metal are what Blood Storm concentrate on. Vocals are good 'n' growly. An American black metal band who know where it's at... good to hear for a change.
