Ah, Utumno finds a bit of their own voice. The overall "sound" of this demo is still very much Norwegian black metal, but they have added some of the rawness one might find from French or Polish bands and some of the compositional oddities one might find from Greek or Italian bands. Production is decent for a demo, all is mixed well and all instruments are handled well. Compositions still lack a bit in the keeping-your-interest-for-too-long department, but they're better than much of what has been released past or present.
