Continuing with the 2nd wave black metal feel of his 2nd release, Gernoth adds slightly more majestic and brutal chord choices to add more originality to his compositions. Still present is quirky, atonal riffing which continues to make Gernoth songs some of the best material I've heard recently. I am reminded of bands like Emperor for their ingenuity, but Gernoth no longer sounds like anyone I can think of (right now). Keys are still utilized in a backing capacity. Production is DIY, but is clear and well mixed.
