The epic, dark ambient compositions from Dargaard should not be missed if you're a fan of such things. Mainly evoking ancient emotions in a Summoning-esque way (without the metal aspect), Dargaard creates absorbing tunes that, while not technically amazing, are layered and well-composed. As well as the ancient feeling of the music, Tharen uses sci-fi-ish types of sounds from time to time for good effect. Vocals are mainly black rasps and clean female vocals, with the occasional clean male vocal. If you're a fan of dark, medieval ambient this is recommended listening. Great to listen to while poking through your Tolkien archives or for poking . . other . . things. Teehee, just kidding, haven't tried that yet.
