Crucifixion
Desert Of Shattered Hopes
[Mausoleum]
Somewhat atmospheric death metal. Heavy, but not the typical "brutal"
American death metal. The production on this disc is pretty cool. It
sounds like it was recorded in a concert hall - expansive. All musicians
are talented and there is also some skilled leadwork on here, but it is not
annoyingly flashy - reminds me, oddly enough, of No Place For Disgrace-era
Flotsam & Jetsam. I'm trying to compare them to somebody, but I'm having a
hard time, so that must be good. I want to say that they are a mix of early
Brazilian death metal and pre-Human era Death . . yea, I think that kinda
works.
