Thou Art Lord
Eosforos
[Unisound]
Brilliant black metal which just reeks of the Hellenic style - oh yes, this is very much from Greece! Thou Art Lord are of course just great at coming up with tight and catchy riffs, despite the fact that the typical Greek riff/drum combination sounds bland after a listen or two.
Heavy production, yet typical from Storm Studio, straight-forward double bass heavy drum blasting in the Greek style and that guitar production we all know. But it's still the riffs that get me every time. From the catchy 'Towers of the Autumn Moon', to the slightly darker 'Disciples of the Black Sorcery', the guitar work on "Eosforos' is simply great.
ROARS from Gunther from Ancient Rites on 'For the Lust of Lilith' and SCREAMS from Mika of Impaled Nazarene on 'A Call to Chaos' - not to mention the evil screams of Gothmog (ala newer Necromantia) and backing rumbling from Necromayhem. Surely T.A.L have one of the best vocal assaults going! A necessary evil metal album!
