Dissimulation
Juodo Menulio Pasveikinta
[Dangus]
The hatred brewing within the chests of so many neo-Pagans within the Baltic regions has no doubt produced quality music as of late. "Who came from abroad, will remain here an alien forever" is the band's distinct motto, while the music follows an equally rigid formula.
Dissimulation play black metal, and you can hear the obvious roots of the music, as it tends to break up into two distinctive styles. The raging Bathory style is obvious: Venomous often has a Quorthon rasp to his vocals, if our Swedish friend were signing in Lithuanian of course. The band also rip not unlike "Under the Sign…" with a less fitting production for a good part of the disc as well.
The other face of the music is not unlike the Poccolus style of mixing more melodic, long-winded riffs backed by keyboards. The band definitely sound Lithuanian in the straight forward sense, and succeed in coming up with a solid demo. It's still immature, but I can imagine with an improved production and a little more style that Dissimulation will come up with something even more collectable.
