This is the real FUCKER of a compilation!!! "Headthrashers" should be shafted into the asses of those people who think that Sepultura and Angra are the best of Brazil. THE ABC THRASH LEGION WILL FUCKING KILL YOU!!! Straight out from the tropical wilderness of the Brazilian rain forests, this compilation brought out four insane CULTS into limelight. The bestial thrashers are namely MX, Necromancia, Blasphemer and Cova. MX is the most famous (or the most successful) of the bunch, having released cult classics like the "Mental Slavery" LP. The rest are relatively obscure especially Necromancia (at least to me). This compilation is a collection of their live recordings that still remains a mystery (and I really doubt the authenticity 'cos the audience sounds damn fake) but they are really great stuffs I must say. MX is a potent mixture of early proto-death/thrash in the veins of early Possessed; deathly thrash with great rocking structures. Their best effort goes to "Fucking all the Angels" (what a title!). Necromancia comes next with two demonic tracks of savagery in the Teutonic thrash tradition, primitive-thrashing guitars melded in solid syncopated battery. Check out the evil lead guitar works! Both "Christian Exterminators" and "Living in Meggido" grips with evil intensity that far surpasses bands from that era. Blasphemer is another one out there that worships Teutonic thrash but they sounded more like Chakal doing Sodom (hence the bandname!). Their music is primitive blackened thrash that met out its assault on catchy melodic lines. "Hellish Fire Blast" is a blazing Brazilian satanic anthem! Up next is Co va and they're probably the BLACKEST of the whole lot! This is TOTAL BATHORY WORSHIP!!! Tracks like "Death Metal" and "Fugal Para O Inferno" made premium backbiters Sarcoma/Holocaust pale in comparison! The guitars are screeching with the total insanity along with the nuclear-driven blast beats and the evil vocals screams bloody blasphemy! This guy's vociferation sounds like a cross between King Diamond, Quorthon and Tom Angelripper! AARGH 666 GOATFORNICATING CULT!!! "Headthrashers" is definitely one of the best compilation LP to come out from Brazil and a valuable addition to any (CRAZY) metalhead's collection. "FUCK OR GET FUCKED!!!!"
