Gorgoroth
Pentagram
[Embassy Productions/Wild Rags/Malicious]
There are three versions of this album the first original Embassy productions is rather hard to come by, the second is the Wild Rags version which is the one I have, who has a really annoying fault namely all the tracks are as one track on the CD, I do believe this version is also rather hard to find these days, and then there is the Malicious which I think if the most common version, but seeing how they, just like Wild Rags, are now out of business it might be hard to come by as well, unless their current label Nuclear Blast decides to re-release it, and knowing them I am quite sure they would do that. Anyway I doubt Gorgoroth needs any introduction, norse black metal through and through, what makes this album stick out? That it has a better production then their other work, as this really fits their music a lot, while they later went on to get a inferior production, apparently for the sake of it. The music here offers a lot more energy, then their other releases. Also the last but surely not least... the infamous Donald Duck vocals, which I know has turned a lot of people off on this album, which is their problem, for they only boost the hateful angry dark atmosphere this offering delivers. This is great, it has feeling, it has hate and fuck you all!
