Imagine a mix of old Mayhem, old Beherit, a dash of Mysticum, and an even smaller bit of Impiety, not spike that with the most insane fucking sound imaginable (even more insane than how it sounds!!) and you have Antaeus!! These guys fucking destroy ALL in their path.. The drumming here is very fucking chaotic (I bought this cd used, so not sure if its a machine or man.. sounds synthetic though), if it is a human, than he obviously has talent, but the drums aren't played in any sort of conventional way, they are fucking thrown all over the place, going fucking ape shit, and fitting the music perfectly.. while somehow managing to stay onbeat most of the time.. guitars are fucking sick.. just as chaotic as the drums, only played a little less all over the place, but still fucking insane!!! Very few melodies are used (a good thing), but when they are, its not the catchy, gay melodies you'd hear on a Dissection album.. rather, they give you the feeling like you are a fucking homocidal mental patient who just found a knife.. A very fucking strange effect indeed!! Bass is great, this is a fucking bass heavy album.. just as chaotic as everything else, but mostly sticks to following the guitars, although he does get a couple solo's here and there.. Vocals are also fucking sick/insane!! Going from a puke-like high pitched scream (fucking nasty!), to a deep death growl (performed better than the guys who do this all the time)... Well, pretty much, if you like raw, nasty, fucking insane black metal, you can't go wrong here.. one of the best cds in this style
