Professional, cleanly-produced offering from this Chicago-based outfit of black/death metallers. The music has black metal influences, but is mainly melodic death metal with mostly raspy/screechy vocals and the occasional death howl. The Fallen have more than a little hint of Gothenburg sound, but not enough to make me lump it with NWOSMDM stylings. Songs are not crafted haphazardly, and instruments are handled well. Basically, this band gives established bands something to look over their should for. Have they been signed? They will be.
