I admit I had never heard this band until I got this through trading (although I knew of them many years ago), but I have now heard their older stuff and I don't like it. On with this CD... This is GREAT black/death metal. Usually along a slower/mid-pace level, although at times very fast. The songs are structured somewhat death metal-ish, with quite a bit of riff/tempo changes at times. One thing that may take some getting used to is the vocals. After some listens, they grew on me quite a bit. They actually sound somewhat similar to All (in VONDUR) and Barzuth (TYPHON). The production is also fairly raw. My favorite track is the finale, "Hail The Cult" (although it's only guitar and vocals). Certainly a worthwhile purchase for anyone who can find this!
