Kiss It Goodbye
She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not...
[Revelation]
As far as I know, this band, made up from the members of such respected
hardcore units as Rorscach and Deadguy, already broke up. They did leave
some legacy behind, namely, besides some singles and EP's, this particular
recording.
In terms of aesthetics and attitude, Kiss It Goodbye draw the line all the
way back to Black Flag's most hateful moments. Indeed, this stuff is more
hatecore than hardcore because such level of self-loathing is downright
unhealthy. While this over the top attitude is by no means unique, and
neither is the band's musical approach, consisting of thick, gnarling
guitars, jagged rhythm section and torturous vocals, not many bands can
deliver it all in such candid and earnest way. The band's song writing
abilities provide plenty of interesting moments to keep you on the edge of
your seat all the way through. Like a number of other notable bands like
Eyehategod, Unsane, Today Is The Day, Kiss It Goodbye have turned pure hate
into an art form and successfully thrived on it.
