This mCD comes with two different covers, which made me quite surprised when I got it via mail order years back, because at the time I did not know that... nor did I ever find out why. Anyway this is simply brilliant death metal, or maybe it could be said black/death, because it does have a certain blackish edge to it. If you are looking for technique, musical skill or basically anything but utter hatred and darkness put into sonic form, then you best be looking elsewhere, because that it what this represents. Although the band has later turned into something that should not be talked to much about, this early work still had them pulling off some very dark wrathful music. Music that makes you want to commit random acts of violence, that makes you want to smash something, anything! And by that Belial have succeeded with some of the best death metal ever to come out of Finland.
