Demilich
Nespithe
[Repulse/Necropolis]
Rarely an album as odd and strange as this has appeared, but what is
presented here isn't really at the first glance so different from most other
death metal acts, but after a more in depth study of it, one can see the pure
brilliance of what they do here. Really odd composed riffs, that differ
quite a lot from the norm, grinding drums but not quite the same as what all
the other drummers do, and lest we forget the vocals... how low can a human
go with his vocals? Listen to Demilich and you will know. The feeling that
this portrays is a strange trance inducing feel that borderlines on insanity,
a weird sense of frustrated anger, what you could expect to feel when
stabbing a person, over and over and over even long after the person is
dead...
