Comments :
Allegiance is a Swedish band that claims to play 'Viking War Metal' (at least on Blodörnsoffer). I find "Blodörnsoffer" very similar to Marduk's latest opus, "Nightwing" : the sound is almost the same, and even the way the lyrics are singed reminds me Legion's vox. However, the music is in general more ground breaking and much more melodic.

The lyrics are in Swedish and they are probably about vikings/war... The production could be better IMO, because some melodies are sometimes hard to hear clearly. A some moments we can hear cool keyboards, especially during the 'calm' parts of the album.

Conclusion :
It is an interesting album, very brutal with some very melodic passages. Unfortunately, the sound is a bit too similar to Marduk's "Nightwing", and is give an unpleasant impression of 'déjà-vu', but we must keep in mind that these bands (Marduk and Allegiance of course) share their drummer and their bassist... To buy if you're a fan only...
