What is it with the French and the trouble they have in finding their own culture? It's always either "Celt-this" or "Viking-that". Obviously the country is based around settlements from each culture, but why is it that they feel the need to act so lost and...American when it comes to their "cultural" metal? Anyway...

Gjallar, in case you haven't figured out yet, are prancing down the viking path. Tracks like "Ragnarok" and the cute viking ship vs. a sea monster cover make this clear (not to mention the lame Ancient shirt the sole member is wearing).

The demo reminds me of watching a car commercial. In other words, I can't believe anyone would actually put something so pathetic into the public's view. This is one of the worst demos ever recorded! The keyboards are fucking HILARIOUS! Have you ever been to a party, happily drinking away, and someone finds a fifty-dollar keyboard in the corner and starts playing around with it? This sounds worse.

Apparently there's some vocals here as well, although I tend to ignore them (Burzum style, how original!) due to the shockingly bad guitars. What is this idiot thinking? Did he really think anyone (especially ME) would appreciate this crap??!!
