Yes my son, they have come back from the dead to teach you the ways of raw, dirty, twisting knife in the gut fun, so pay attention small fry. This may have been my fault, but I don't accept any responsibility, just like at work. No one pays me enough! I have been hoping to get my hands on more Gor...well, here it is. A rehearsal from 1998 and it is pretty cool IMO (in my opinion), but who else will like it? This is raw, noisy filthy thrash. I see where others might call them a "grind" band, but I think that's due more to the, ahem, production, than the riffing (which sounds pretty much Slayer/ Kreator/ Death inspired).

You know what? I won't recommend this unless you are an old school fuckup like me. I can't get enough of rehearsals with talking in between songs (ha! I had to laugh listening to the southern accents. It's like I never realized folks talk different outside of Toronto...) You can't fake this. No overdubs! Even with the loose playing in some songs, the energy can't be beat, but then again, that's just me.

Have to say my favourite tracks are the Venom covers, "Angel of Death" with Jeremy "GoreChrist" Whitman of DESPONDENCY as guest vocalist, the Sabbath cover with duelling vocalists (one clean and 'majestic', the other totally fuckin sick death!), and the doomy, Trouble-like meets I don't know, something gritty, ""Labyrinth's Animator". This tune HAS to be professionally recorded. The Medley is ok, but I barely recognized it cuz it's so fast and harsh. Not in a million years would I have guessed they were doing a Bad Brains cover (Pay to Cum)! HR is too mellow to blenderize like this! And "Orgy With the Dead" is a classic tune.

Only complaint, the sound level gets pumped up halfway through "Orgy with the Dead". Wish the whole CD had more bottom end like that (it is thin and razor sharp). And the Exodus cover at the end cuts off and leaves you hanging, wondering, 'what the hell happened?", you know like at the end of a flick like Blair Witch.
