Slayer
Diabolus in Musica
[American]
I have to agree with a lot of others, this is a better album than the
last few releases, but still a disappointment, if not a rip-off. This
is not the real Slayer. It sounds like a bunch of guys trying to join
the Machinehead/Pantera crowd. The production is shit (for a thrash
metal band anyways, maybe it's good for industrial wannabes), a lot of
riffs sound uninspired, and Tom Araya's vocals have never sounded so
lame (and I don't mean spoken, like off South of Heaven which was a
cool album). Here are the best tracks to tape off your friend's copy,
as I don't recommend buying it (and even these songs are average for a
legendary band like Slayer)...Death's Head/ Perversions of Pain/ Scrum/ Screaming from the Sky/ Point
I would be happier hearing Slayer doing Judas Priest covers like when
they first started instead of this. I give this a 4 out of 10.
