Detente
Recognize No Authority
[Metal Blade]

Yes, Metal Blade actually used to release amazing vinyl many, many moons ago my son. In 1986, I heard one Detente track from this album, and ran out the next day and bought an import copy. Unfortunately it was released domestically a week later. Still worth having this a week before the masses of asses.

Singer Dawn Crosby had a good cat-stepped-tail approach. Her emotions were convincing (she wasn't bullshitting us about pain). The band was tight and had a good thrash metal sound - I couldn't compare them to anyone...they were just good old American thrash from the West Coast. The band had problems and disappeared, with Dawn last heard on her Fear Of God debut "Within the Veil" I think (And it was a damn fine album - her moaning...I mean singing...was what every healthy heterosexual male liked to listen to!) If you enjoy classic thrash, like early Nuclear Assault, Whiplash and the first Megadeth, pick this up.

Side One- Losers/Russian Roulette/It's Your Fate/Holy War/Catalepsy
Side Two- Shattered Illusions/Life is Pain/Blood I Bleed/Widow's Walk/Vultures in the Sky
