Marduk
Panzer Division Marduk
[Osmose]
Fire!
Marduk explode into '99 with a relentless speed assault titled ever so
simply as -Panzer Division Marduk-.
While such relentlessness one would think the music would become boring
with repeated listens, although oddly enough, repeated listens uncover
more and more 'layers', not that you find anything new, the music is
still blasting, but a better appreciation of it is found, not senseless
rage, yet well calculated attacks, fitting the war theme of the album,
Marduk display themselves as supreme generals. An appeal on more then
one level, one may listen to it for the pure rage and aggression
displayed on the album, but the album also offers the listener in almost
every song a solid 'chorus' part, similar to the metal anthems of old
(AC/DC comes to mind as a best example, or early Slayer). Although I
don't understand the deal with the various sexual undertones
(Christraping Black Metal; Fistfucking God's Planet).
A brutal assault on the hearing, recommended for listeners who desire
such.
Personal Favorite(s): Panzer Division Marduk; Baptism By Fire;
Christraping Black Metal; Blooddawn
