Darzamat
In The Opium Of Black Veil
[Faithless]
An excellent female vocalist, contrasting with ugly demonic incantations
and clean sung male passages create together, with a orchestrated
musical backdrop, a musical journey into fantasy realms titled -In The
Opium Of Black Veil-.
Darzamat have a way for getting everything right, their female vocalist
is flawless, not boring or mundane like most others in the realm of
metal music, instead, her vocals flow seamlessly along with the music
with praise that can only follow her performance. The clean spoken male
parts are done very well, acting as a perfect companion to their female
counterpart. The harsher vocals provide that bit of darkness present in
every good fantasy work without being loud and obnoxious which would
only hurt the music.
The orchestrations sound as if they were created from a sort of metal
fairy tale, blending the fantasy atmosphere created in the music through
the excellent musicianship and great use of keyboards with the
unmistakable riffing of a classic metal album, simply put, a perfect
mix, and a well done one at that.
Spanning five songs in this fashion, each song remaining unique to its'
predecessor without losing the atmosphere it held.
