Ahh, blessed Swedish violence! Yet another pleasant surprise from the usually rather pathetic Swedish black metal scene. Instead of the "I would be shagged in the ass for a deal with Nuclear Blast" homosexual joyful sounding "black metal" that we are used to, Triumphator provides ultra-fast, insane black metal.

This was first released as an EP by Mark of the Devil (sub-label for Near Dark) but has now been put on a mCD by Holycaust. The band consists of Tena (guitar and bass on this recording) from Shadow Records, Arioch (vocals and guitar) of Funeral Mist and Fredrik Andersson (drums) from Marduk and Allegiance. They have now recorded a full length album that will be released by Necropolis. For the full length recording Morgan from Marduk was brought in on guitar.

The mCD contains two songs, "Redeemer of chaos" and "Heralds of pestilence", both holding equal quality. The main ingredients here are lightning speed drumming with hardly any breaks, raw riffs, diabolical vocals and sick, screeching guitar solos. This is recorded in Necromorbus studios and suits the music perfect. The full length is recorded in The Abyss so it will be very interesting to hear the result.

If you like superior Swedish acts such as Funeral Mist and Marduk this will most definitely be up your alley.
