Black Sabbath
Born Again
[Warner Brothers]
This album sees Ian Gillan take over the vocal chores and it was a strange
choice as he just never seemed to fit in. Many will say that this album is
shit but I am quite fond of it. I believe I am in the minority. Mr.Gillan
does have a powerful pair of lungs (I prefer a lady with a fine pair of
breasts any day... sorry I digress) and he busts out some horrific metal
screams that make the hair on the back of your neck stand up. Man does he ever let
loose!!! Off the bat, you'll notice how loud this album is and it's not as
bad as you think. It is different but what did you expect. Can you see
Gillan pulling a Dio? No way man. I like the following tracks: 'Trashed',
'Zero The Hero' (massive riff that was later ripped by G'N'R in 'Paradise
City') and 'Born Again'. I believe this would be a good album to bust out
the hard liquor to.
