I think this is my first exposure to Russian black metal, and it is my pleasure to say AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!! Yeah bud, cool shit here. Very bleak and grim, reminding me sort of DARK THRONE. This four song, 20 minute affair is speedy, with a noisy production that is slightly "worse" than the 1995 "Dwellers of the Cursed Forest" Demo. Still ripping though. While "Dwellers..." used an occasional synth outro, this is a metallic blur, with "buried" gruff vocals by Abysslooker. My favourite track would be the instrumental "Under the Spell of Disastrous Moors", a mid-paced, hypnotic riff in the BURZUM vein. Not an essential tape, but very, very cool.
