First off I must comment on the striking appearance of this digipack. It gives off an almost death fetish vibe with it's look. It was like there was a concentrated effort to instill a sense of the bands perversity in the unclean. Lyrics follow that train of thought as well. The opening seconds of the CD also backs up this notion as a deviant sex act/snuff torture intro poisons the ears. The intro creeps into the title track which is pretty straight forward raw black metal. Good demonic vocals over powerful Hellhammer/Celtic Frost riffing is the Carpathian approach to black metal. There's even use of keys (...swell) and a full production. There is a lot of hype of grand evil being associated with this band. They are spoken of in a respectful manner when their name is come across. Maybe they are some seriously bad dudes, who knows? Musically there is an old school homage in there presentation. I still hate fucking keyboards!!! I do like a lot of the riffs though especially the out of tune ones in 'Death Triumphant'. A very solid disc, good from beginning to end. I must say the Cure cover is pretty decent as well. Way fucking better then their mini-CD.
