Temple of the Morning Star
[Relapse]
This metallized post-hardcore-noise unit was originally a part of a small
scene revolving around Amphetamine Reptile Records with bands like Cows,
Helmet, Hammerhead, Surgery etc. To release "Temple of the Morning Star,"
TITD signed with Relapse.
The music on this album is very nasty, like Neurosis on acid. TITD take
their sludgy doom and turn it into short and vicious bursts of
uncontrollable anger and hate, supplied by some sick lyrics full of serial
killer lullabies and sadistic nightmares. A few additional oddballs include
an acoustic version of a title track, industrial/noise nightmare "Satan is
Alive," haunting and weird "Hermaphrodite," and a hidden cover of Black
Sabbath's "Sabbath, Bloody Sabbath."
