Major mixed feelings towards this 1997 album. Guitarwork/ vocals are ripping, bringing to mind other great black metal acts like Bathory, Einherjer, Dissection, etc. HOWEVER, it depends on my mood. "Why?", you ask o faithful Larm legion, because Autumn Verses use keyboards when they don't need them! Sure they're at just the right level in the mix, (when they are not, they should be banished to the land of Nod). I can see how the keys create a surreal atmosphere, but I know in my gut how much more severely raw & brutal "Tunes of Disconsolation" could be. (I need to hear their 1994 & '97 demos).
