This is my favourite disc from Barathrum because I feel it contains their strongest most solid song writing to date. Ritualistic and extremely sinister (chanting, moaning winds, child sacrifice, howling wolves and gurgling raspy vocals make way on to the disc) would describe this CD best. Style wise they still play a bass heavy brand of doomy black metal but there isn't the noisey harshness of 'Hailstorm' present here that prevented any of the songs from standing out. There isn't one low point on this disc of true northern darkness. Great stuff through and through, evil personified!!!
