Whince all you want, Venom coined the term black metal and it went on to define a brand of music that would constantly develop over time but remain true to it's earliest essence/spirit. Metal dedicated to Satan, therefore the label black metal. This whole disc radiates the power of Satan. Raw, dirty, high octane paced thrash stained with the blood from the sacrifical altars. It explored Hell's catacombs, raised the dead and treated women like the bitches they are. Some classic songs were spawned with this release like 'Black Metal', 'Bloodlust', 'Heaven's on Fire' and 'Countess Bathory'. Those songs stole my soul and steered me in the direction of the lefthand path. Great stuff to corrupt the human spirit. A must have!!!
