Twin Obscenity
For Blood, Honour And Soil
[Century Media]
I picked this up a while back because of reading the review of an earlier
disc by said band in LARM! and basically because I needed my metal fix. What
we have here is a Norwegian black metal band that sound very much like
Satyricon to me in terms of music. The vocals are different from Satyr's,
actually better I would say. Keys are used but they are performed in a
tasteful manner and there are all sorts of good riffs present. I
particularly liked the title track (it is a mighty rare occasion that I can
actually stand female vocals in black metal, this was one). Some thought
was put into this release and it is heavy in a Norse warrior sort of way.
It conjures up images of their might. Twin Obscenity are pretty cool and
very underrated I would say. 9 songs 45:53 m:s
