Using chord voicings that remind of Darkthrone and other Norwegian bands,Kathaaria employ them within different progressions making them sound metallicand atmospheric simultaneously. The overall sound is slightly melodic andslightly thrashy (reminding of a mix of Coroner and Hellhammer actually), yetstill retaining a solid black metal reference point. The vocals aren'tthe normal bm screech, instead they find their root in German thrash growling(again reminding of Coroner). Quite a fine release of metal .. whether itwould fit into everyone's definition of black metal I don't know .. but itsgood. (streetcleaner@web.de)
