Gehenna
Adimiron Black
[Moonfog]
Wholesale changes in the Gehenna camp for this one. New members and more
aggression (a trend sort of developed on last album Malice). Say adios to
babe Sarcanna (keyboards), who really cares about the other members. Even
Sarcanna's departure is no big deal as most women should be seen and not
heard from anyways! Somebody was doing her and when she failed to put out
her usefulness to the band came to an end, HA HA HA!!!!
Adimiron Black opens up with 'The Killing Kind' and sets the tone that
Gehenna has opted for this album. A cool riff, powerful with a touch of
thrash (don't think retro as it's essence is ever so slight). Lyrically
they've tried to write about more tangible black subjects i.e. : death,
depression, murder, suicide etc. Looking at the album cover kind of gives
that impression as well. Keyboards are still present but they are more
subdued this could be for the fact the new keyboardist is a man and it's
highly unlikely that they'd try to blackmail him for sexual favors unless
... let's not think of that!!! DEATH TO HOMOS!!! A decent album if your a
fan, nothing to stalk after though. 10 songs, 36:11 m:s
