This MCD (released in 1994) is composed only of covers from the Grind Death masters Carcass, Impetigo, Repulsion, Bolt Thrower, Napalm Death and Carnage. The songs are mainly taken from their older albums. The cover photograph and the title are direct references to Carcass' Necrotycism : Descanting The Insalubrious, showing even more the influence that Carcass had on Necrony. But as covers from those bands are not really common (even if their influence on so many bands is obvious), the idea is not bad at all. It's still better than all those tributes full of second rate bands covering always the same songs from the same bands.
As a whole, the listening is rather enjoyable : Necrony knows how to handle their instrument properly, Dan Swanö is here to help on guitar, and they do it the Necrony way. People who enjoyed the Pathological Performances sound will find it again on this MCD.
The main question to ask yourself before buying/trading this MCD is the following : do you need another cover album (this one is great) or not ? Fans of the above mentioned bands won't hesitate.
