ARGHHHHH!!!! This is THE best demo released in a long time! Each and every single one of the seven tracks displayed here are PERFECT!!! Skyforger are going to be the number one band to look out for in the future, since the music they contribute to the scene is no less than original and amazing! Let's review this delicious slab of godly metal!:

The demo is professionally printed, with a cover depicting two warriors fighting. Lyrics and linear notes are also included. But it's what inside that counts, no? Well in this case, YES!!! Imagine grim and original folk music, combined with Immortal-style black metal, yet done in a more interesting fashion. In the linear notes Skyforger mention: "Mighty raventhanx to sons of Northern Darkness (for being "truly above us"). Cynical perhaps? Sarcastic? I'm not quite sure, but in my mind, Skyforger are truly above those Norwegian wankers.

Besides containing the best grim black metal, "Semigalls' Warchant" also contains some impressive folk music. Clean vocals, traditional instruments and so on create a medieval/pagan aura. This truly is the best demo released in a long time!! Trust me on this! With a CD coming out this year I believe, Skyforger are bound to become one of the best bands to appear on the extreme metal scene in a long time. GET THIS!!
