Megiddo
The Devil And The Whore
[Barbarian Wrath]
See, this is what I mean when I say black metal!
Long hair, pentagram, an awful lot of blood and rot and evilness…
No I’m not talking about my wretched sick grandmother, I am talking about
this album by ChorazaiM’s MEGIDDO which kicks ass!!
I think he should be cursed and cursed again (in appreciation) by satanic
sorcerers for this work of black art which contains a spirit rare and
unique. And no I am not kissing ass even if he keeps this review site
because I needed only to concentrate for one minute on the first song
of ”The Devil and the Whore” and I was treated to a mentally abusive
experience that made my eyes open wide and almost fill with tears (of a
melancholic vampire, yes).
So yes, it’s evil black metal in the vein of HELLHAMMER with evil hateful
distorted vocals (he distorts them so much you might be reminded of shit
industrial) but what really twists the knife in your flesh is that he uses
HEAVY melodies like BATHORY used on his Viking albums – I do not
mean ’melodies’ per se but those beautiful epic chord combinations that all
true heavy metal bands always use in the forging of mighty powerful songs to
salute valiant warriors with.
And it’s a thing to remember – combination of warrioric virtue and total
fucking destructive spirit against modern man.
