A mighty record from Texas old-school guys Absu, this is one of the better metal albums from USA since 'Reign in Blood'. In a sadistic fury, Proscriptor beats the drums like one possessed, controlling the songs with an edge that the compositions in itself would not have. The Metallica/Slayer positioning in the riffs contrasts with the rather modern-black-metal production and gives this album a unique sound.
